Sailing Free is OLIVIA's latest single, released on April 15, 2009. The single is a collaboration project between OLIVIA and INORAN and is used as the theme song to a new game of the saga, Sengoku Basara.
This is the promo video, featuring the artist in some kind of school play, complete with really awesome props. It's yet another quirky OLIVIA video and reminds me actually of her video for Stars Shining Out from The Cloudy Dreamer mini-album.
Sailing Free is actually OLIVIA's first single in a span of three years. Her last release was a mini-album, Trinka Trinka, which told us that this primarily electronica artist can do bubblegum rock just as well. Sailing Free still has echoes of her 90s Eurobeat influences but it's rock, baby, and just like that it is really reminiscent of Stars Shining Out from the heavy guitar-driven intro to the naked drumbeat at the first stanza.BUY:
